I have a M255PE. I don't know what the differences are between your model and mine. But in mine the power source connects to the outlet that run the pumps. And the firestar power connects to the outlet as well. If the physical side fuse tab in the outlet breaks, then what you are explaining could possible happen depending how it's wired. Do you only have one pump? See if the other outlet hole has power by plugging you pump into it. If not, the side fuse tab might be broken on your outlet.
