They are easy enough to ruin when they are only single layer wrapped pallets of pellets ! I just buy loose bags of those, Pick through for the good ones. Kind of like buying 2x4's from HD.

Me and my wife went to HD last Sunday after church and we picked up a couple bags to replenish our stockpile. I went to put the last bag in last night and when I opened it I realized the first half of the bag was like the pictures you just shown!

Lol never know what to expect I guess. Next time I'll make sure and look over the bags better, I did notice most of them were a little damp. It's definitely how they store them.

No hard feelings, lesson learned :)
 
Hmmm [scratching head] I was wondering why that picture looked so familiar..........

The pallet is still there, in fact it has multiplied. Seems folks in these parts have no interest in exploded bags of wet sawdust. Go figure?
