GF 15-55 alpha pump that I put on in late Sept 2014, started out at 45 watts and 11 gpm flow a couple days latter it "hung" at 30 some watts and 8/9 gpm for the past 2 + weeks it has stayed a 14/16 watts and 4/5 gpm, I have watch it very close and it even stays "there" when the floor is calling for heat (at which time a gf15-56 pulls the water thru a taco 4way , I have changed nothing my fluid is the same at 25% anti frez etc……… any body have this type pump and how’s it working out for u?

I am running GF Alpha pumps but they are not on auto adapt. Three are set on a particular speed, same gpm and wattage that they started with. One is set on a particular pressure (for thermostatically controlled radiator valves), which vary.

I talked to a tec at GF, he said its good to go ! saz "the system in their pump" ......found what "my system" needed ..and its working fine ... love the fact that I don't burn a bunch of juice /looking for the speed in which to run my system. if i'd had a regular 007 pump it would be running a lot more watts and speeds that are unneeded .

You could always compare supply and return temperatures and the gpm the pump is pumping against your heat loss calculation ... and comfort ... and have a good idea if it was adequate.

tell me more/how ....the temp is the same + or - a .5 deg, as it does its 120 loop

BTU/hr transferred by the water as it travels the loop = Gallons per minute * delta T * 500
So ... 4.5 GPM * 0 * 500 = 0 btu/hr ...
