Drove all morning yesterday, Sunday, doing errands. Then went to Lowes to buy 15 bags of Prestologs ($4.38 a bag). Loaded them in the Jeep, get ready to pull out of parking space, brake pedal loses pressure and sinks all the way down. Brake light comes on, brakes are gone. Put it in park, check out the front drivers side wheel well, brake fluid dripping all over the place. I figure I was lucky it happened then and not on the highway.
Went to the customer service desk to let them know I would leave the car a few hours in the Lowes parking lot and not to tow it away. While waiting on line, I notice the couple next to me is buying a pellet venting kit. I start up a conversation about pellet stoves. They bought the Summersheat, 2,200 sq ft capacity for $2,200, I think. They are really new to pellets stoves, looking for a way to save on heating oil.
Anyway, I tell them to join Hearth.com for any questions they will have. I didn't have the heart to tell them they are probably going to have to silicone the hell out of that pipe to keep it from smoking. The woman was listening, the guy could care less. Some lessons are better learned hands on. She said, Hearth with a T H at the end? I said, Yes.
I advertise when I can.
