The house is toasty! I am having my first burn as I write.
First newbie question. Should I shut it off overnight..at this point in October..and just turn it on when I need it....or should I keep it on 24/7 , and turn down the stove temperature?
thanks

just set the temperature you want and let the stove work its magic. Nights are colder than days, so it makes more sense to me to let it run at night.
