I'm sure at this point you would need an ocean full of cash.
 
Unfortunately, a lot of the rule breaking seems to be the laws of physics... or at least bending them heavily!! They are claiming a 560KW / 720HP car on a 48 volt system!?!?!

If the 'ol I=P/V calculation holds, that seems a bit over 11,600 amps! required for that magic trick. Possibly they could charge some sort of capacitor to get the high current for a short burst, but even cruising down the highway...maybe needing 40HP / 30KW is going to need 625 amps at 48V!
