I really want to get the Napoleon 1402. My folks have had similar model for 10 years and love it. Seems like it really cranks out the heat. My problem is the lintel. The height is not great. It's 22 3/4" and the minimum for the 1402 is 22". So I got a little wiggle room. The height of the insert is really 20" so there is 2 3/4" gap. The real issue is the depth (or thickness) of the lintel. It is 4 3/4" thick. So basically the 6" flue opening is 1" under the lintel. It will be very tight and I will need to use the low clearance connector. EPA335KT.
Does anybody have dimensions of the part? I tried looking online and could not find anything.
I'm wondering if the connector will have enough room as it slopes up. It seems like it would but just barely. Attached is PDF showing the layout.
Thanks.
