I have a cheap pre-fab that I plan to replace. Due to limited size, the only insert I have found is an Osburn 1100.
The flue is SS about 7 inches in diameter and about 30 feet tall. I know I will need a SS Liner but I see different brands and types.

More info:
Current pre-fab is a wood burning type but is currently burning gas logs. Gas supply will be removed and capped.
Total heat output and burn times is not a big factor. I am not trying to heat the whole house.
No brick work will be disturbed. (wife's orders)
The wood mantle will be removed. (too close)
We are located in North Texas. Have not found any dealers willing to come out to do the install so it will be a DIY.

The Osburn 1100 has a back face at a 45 degree angle which should allow for the liner to connect and go right into the existing rigid chimney pipe.

Questions:
Any advise on type of liner?
Any problem sliding this liner into the existing pipe?
Any advise on this installation?

Thanks

Opening with damper closed. About 7.5 inches.

Here is the diagram of the Osburn 1100. As you can see the outlet is at a 45 degree angle.

First and foremost, find the make and model of your prefab and make sure it is approved for a solid fuel insert.

+1.

Welcome to the forums !!!

**ETA** While I usaully disagree with most "wife choices" here ( recently a "husband choice", which really surprised me, lol !!), I gotta say, I understand the "no brick work" edict :)

Heatilator model F42 zero-clearance. Supposed to accept insert.

I did see a Century insert that has similar dimensions.

How tight can a SS Flex liner bend?

Thanks
