Was at pellet dealer yesterday and they just got in a new pellet. They are quite excited about them, gave me a bag to try and let them know what I think. They are processed in Windsor Vermont, soft wood, etc. Just did a cleaning and after the LaCretes burn out of the tube, will see how they are. Guess GMO and free range are important?

Decent numbers on the bag label. What was the asking price?

They are getting $6.00 per bag which is the same per bag price as LaCretes. Not sure about ton pricing. Will post more when I find out.

Isn't 802 the area code for VT or just coincidence?

Curious if they make their way to NH. I would try them.

The dealer is The Stove Depot. They have a few locations, I got these in North Clarendon, Vt. So far, so good. Been burning about an hour and the output is great. My unscientific heat gauge is a meat thermometer held just in front of the exchanger tubes. Just buried the needle at 220 degrees. Haven't had that level of heat in a long time. Ash looks good. Going to have to get more than just one bag and do a 10 bag test. So far looks like a winner.

Also gluten and GMO free. Guess we can burn them or eat them.

Is there a phone # or website on the bag?

Cool, Ill have hit up The Stove Depot in Bennington and see if they have em...

From the sense of humor alone I would try some.

I asked this morning and was told $279.00 per ton, truckload due in tomorrow.

I also called today. From what the people at Stove Depot said the 802 pellet is excessively sold by them? Maybe being sold in another bag like everyone else. Seeing there being milled not to far from Vermont wood pellet , are they the same or new competition ?.. Price is about the same?

Love the bag.
There is such a thing as GMO wood. If you're a FSC member you can not use any. It looks like they started with that then just covered the rest of their bases, just in case.

Looks like they have free range cattle to fertilize the trees :)

Seriously, when all the cuts of meat at the grocers is labeled "gluten free" that says something. whether it says they previously added wheat to their meats, or whether is says they are trying to cash in on the craze - who knows? I do know that I have bought canned tuna before that said it contained wheat (no, it wasn't in a gravy or anything).

Saw the "gluten free" lingo on a bag of rice and bacon - What?? Always been gluten free... Now we can have pellets gluten free too;lol

Sure is ..... Paper Companies are planting engineered trees as are lumber companies and other manufacturers who manage huge tracts of land for industrial purposes

FSC has no members with large economic forest interests in the USA IE Corporate members who own / manage large timber tracts.

The labeling of these bags makes me think they are preparing for several markets at once -- bedding perhaps ???

Also that they are maximizing SEO when their product is mentioned on the net, although Google will likely see it as key word spam.

We own 45,000 acres of timberland and are FSC members. But, compared to some other landowners (paper companies), that's not very large.
