MA and NH
Hello Everyone,

I purchased a condo as a vacation home in NH and it came with a wood stove that I have yet to try out. I did have it cleaned professionally however I was not there when it was being done so I was not able to ask questions.

Using google I was able to find that the model I have is a Shenandoah hh-85 that was built in the mid 80's (1985 perhaps?)

I was thinking about using it although I am having trouble with what I believe is called the "damper". There is a handle on the right hand side that doesn't seem to do anything. However, when I place my hand inside the stove and push up on the damper while moving the handle I am able to lock it in place. Surely there must be something disconnected. I suppose I can remove the flue and look inside to see if something is able to be connected but I thought I'd reach out to some experts before doing anything.

Perhaps someone may know if there is a place where I can find any documents for this stove? From what I found it seems that this brand is now called Sierra Products. I called them and they don't have anything as they bought out the company that made this stove sometime around 2006 but they only kept going with a couple of their models and did not have any legacy documentation.
