Nothing like a good cleaning!

I'm learning that a good cleaning of my Harman p61 every 2 weeks makes it run like a CHAMP!!

It's too bad that most dealers fail to stress how important that is. Doing a really good cleaning after a ton is not good enough, in most cases. The stove may run, but it runs a heck of a lot better when it's cleaned regularly.

I just finished my weekly cleaning but skipped it last week so it had been two weeks since I had cleaned it. just had twice the ash. I'm starting to wonder if I can go two weeks between cleanings from now on. I'd still do the thorough cleaning and vent cleaning every 30-40 bags.

I think it looks so much better after a good cleaning too. I enjoy the light it puts off. Who needs a Christmas tree with that going all the time.

so by good cleaning are you cleaning the motors and such as that or just the inside real good?

cleaning blowers and such isnt as necessary in the 2 week interval given by the OP , im sure it was a referrence to a deep cleaning in the burn and exhaust areas of the unit

I took advantage a warmer day and cleaned mine Start the new year with a clean stove and a cold beer!

I clean mine whenever it's cold or every 4 days sometimes a week. Erring on the side of cleaning. I am fairly new to using a pellet stove but it does seem to work better clean. It this the same as a clean car runs better?? LOL

LOL It sure does seem that way, doesn't it? Bottom line, regardless what you "think", keep it clean. Clean stove=happy stove (and wife and kids, if you have 'em).

I do mine weekly need it or not I feel better !

I clean mine every 3 or 4 days, more than it needs. But, it runs like a top, and I feel better knowing it's clean and happy.
