Hi everyone, just thought I'd help my New York pellet burners with what I've seen as far as pellets for sale.

The local Home Depot in Newburgh has 40 tons of Fireside Ultra's for $279/ton

Just happened to see a hand painted sign at the 84 Lumber (also in Newburgh) for pre-order of pellets. The have 4 tractor trailer loads of Lignetics coming in Oct.-Nov for $250/ton. (they sold out their first truckload in 2 days). The owner was VERY happy he decided to carry pellets this year, as other 84 Lumber yards upstate carried them last year.

I also was in Lowes, and they didn't have any pellets, and no idea when they were getting them, but they quoted me a price of $295/ton....(at that price, they can keep them when they do get any).

Hope this helps all my local pellet burners, especially newbies like me! LOL

Wow, a great price....it's amazing to me how much of a difference there is in pellet prices depending on where you are in the country. I also have a ton of pellets coming from TSC (Energex), but here in SE New York, their $239.50.

What brand pellets are they selling up there?

It`s amazing alright, to see the outright and blatant greed there is in this industry.

4th of July weekend I was in Liberty NY and they had pellets Energex $305 a ton, and in early August in the ADKs they had pellets for $299 a ton, and in Westchester County I paid in early June $279.00 a ton and in late July I paid $305.00 a ton, and on Long Island I was quoted $325.00 a ton and it was going up to $350.00, Pellet Sales.com called me to say they have pellets and would deliver to NYC for $350.00 TO $379.00 a ton, the prices that you are quoting is what I paid last summer, The prices that you are getting are not that bad for our area, considering all the problems with the shortages.

do you know what 84 lumber charges for delivery? got my 4 ton from tri county coal but delivery was $90.

I asked at the time, but I seem to remember it was expensive....maybe $75? Don't remember, but I think that was a flat fee for as much as you bought....not 100% sure. I DO remember telling them it was too expensive for me. You'd have to call & ask. If you don't know which 84 I'm talking about, just PM me.

There were only a few stores that had tsc special they were having a price war for two weeks to stay competittive with some local store . our reg price here in howell is 239 ton not 199.

Just went past the Newburgh, NY Home Depot. They have 23 tons of Blazer (Blazer Burn??) premium pellets. $279/ton Softwood I think, from Oregon??

Got my 3tons of pellets from Home Depot in Brewster.
Paid $249/ton 2months ago for pick up. Wood Pellet Brand was StoveChow. Don't have any experience with this brand.
Every other place close in my area charged at this time already $295.00.
Current price at Home Depot is $279.-- which is still cheaper than any other competitor around.

I have been hearing from friends and tsc manager one of there pellet suppliers pellet factory burned down. I am happy I pre bought my pellets from tsc for $199.00 and I picked them all up last week to make sure I got them.

Was that 90$ to deliver all 4 tons at once.Seems like a great price. How much was it per ton and how do you like the pellets.tks

tricounty had new england pellets - when I ordered they were 274/ton - $90 flat rate upto 5 ton. I love the newp pellets - very little dust in the bottom of bag no clinkers - I am going to stick with newp in future if I can. The pallets were well wraped and not beat up - I was very happy with tri-county delivery also.

What does the 90$ flate rate mean?

does that mean you had to pay 90$ extra on top of the tonage price?

Just saw an ad on Craigs List for pellets.

Tractor Supply $289.50/ Ton or 5.99/bag. 845-469-1732 [email protected] 78 Brookside Ave. Chester, NY 10918

I called and they said they were Premium "Country Pine".....anyone ever heard of these?

They said that as of 11/3, they had gotten a delivery of 25 tons. You have to pay & take immediately...no layaway.

Might take a ride and pick up a few bags to try. I bought 2 bags of Freedom Fuel softwood from HD last night ($5.99/bag), and will be trying them tonight.

If you're in Orange County, NY you can't be terribly far away from High Point, NJ. There is a Tractor Supply Company on Rt 23 North by Wantage...
