I was installing my liner yesterday and after we got it down through the damper and I said it was good right there we had about 5' still sticking out the top of the chimney. So we proceeded to cut it off and then finish up the top then went inside to install the tee onto the liner and wouldnt you know Im about
2-3" short:mad: Not good at all so I clean up and go into town and have some drinks then to lowes I found this http://www.lowes.com/pd_256398-85334-BM0045_0__?productId=3319588&Ntt=double+insulated+chimney+pipe thats not exactly what I bought mine is 6" I figured I could out this onto the liner and then fit a piece of the leftover from the top to the tee and the coupler? What do yall think should I do this will it be safe?

Well Matt, those things are used a lot and have been for years. I recall one stove where I had to use one. Basically all it is is the black pipe like you use from the stove to the thimble only this is crimped on both ends. Perhaps the pros might see something different but I would have no problem doing this.
