P38+ upgrade circuit board

Have not seen this posted ever so here goes. The old pp38 with the 2 knob control board had the black wired ESP PROBE.
When the upgrade circuit board # 1 - 00-7738111 is installed, what color of ESP probe will be Used? The original black,or the red wired Probe?
When the board is received from shipping it clearly states the DIP switches have been factory set. But when I followed the instructions to the T, and plugged in the power cord the stove motors started ŕight away and did not shut off even though the control was turned to off. I am using the black probe from the stove. Have checked the resistance value (650 k ohms). So am asking if the board requires the red wired Probe?

DIP switch position #5 is ON for red, OFF for black lead ESP probe.

Are you going to upgrade to auto light? Now that you cut the metal for the manual circuit board, just throw in a P43 burn pot with Ignitor and Ignitor cradle, a new 4 output auto circuit board and new wire harness with igniter wires and bingo, bango you have Stove that auto lites, just like a P43
That is what I did to mine. "Ye old Double Bang Upgrade!!" I also threw on a new Fire Door with Mirror Glass to make it my "Mirror Baby"
I repainted it Satin Black and Flat Aluminum for the trim. Then threw on the P43 hopper extension just to be lazy on fillups! LOL
How does it look???
