My P43 is not shutting down all the time or turning off in room temp mode. If the stove is running and I turn the dial to the off position the distribution blower runs constantly, the pellets continue to feed and will not shut down. If I flip the switch to stove temp mode it will shut down. The stove is 6 years old. The only thing I have done is unplug the unit to try to reset and I recently cleaned the esp probe. Any suggestions?

I'm just posting to bring this back up to the top of the page.

Potentiometer is probably shot. That is the knob you are turning to shut it down.

You will need to remove the knob by pulling it off, then unscrew the board from the door to spray inside the pot where the knob goes inside. The spray removes dirt and lubricates inside the switch. My son uses this for his guitar and amp potentiometers and it works great. It is a good cheap method to try first before changing out the pot or the board.

Let me know how it goes.

If the esp is not reading correctly that will cause this issue also. I have seen that more than a bad knob. But it is tough to check w/out a diag. tool
