Pellet stoves in Italy

I am
I live in the US and have a woodstove. Pellet stoves are new to me but are becomnig more interesting the less I enjoy wood gathering, splitting stacking, etc.

I have an apartment in Italy (Umbria) that I would like to heat with a pellet stove. Does anyone have experience with pellet stoves that are available in Italy with regards to quality, performance, ease of use, etc.

The aparment is about 900 square feet, however, due to the layout the stove would effectively be heating about 600 square feet. Any ideas of the size (ie. heat output / kW) I should look for in a stove?

I have included a floor plan of the apartment. The stove will be in the living room (soggiorno) along the wall separating it from the bedroom (camera 1).

I have no clue what the building code is there, what is available, and what would work with what they have. I am sure all pellet stoves in Italy come with some type of pizza oven. The other thing is to check fuel availability.

The building where the aparment is located is probably about 400-500 years old and made of stone. There is a flue vent in the ceiling going to a chimney on the roof (I am on the top floor). I have to check the chimney, but, I think all I need to do is connect the stove to the flue and run electricity to the stove. Pelllets are redily available. Many italians heat with pellets due to the high cost of fossil fuels and convenience.

Well the living room will be awfully warm to keep the rest of the apartment comfortable, and with the proper clearances will take up a big part the room. How about a four zone ductless split heat pump system, and that will also give you cooling during the summer. The condensing unit could go right on the roof. They are very energy efficient.

I have my eye on a couple of ecoteck stoves. I like the porcelain finishes. Just wish Minnesota had a dealer for support.
