Hockey fans in Pittsburg, PA. with a remarkable display of class following the tragedy yesterday.

I know the underlying event yesterday has all the ingredients for all kinds of discussion and debate and politics, and that the mods don't want that stuff here - but the intent is simply to recognize the amazing gesture by these players and fans.

Probably the only time in the history of hockey that Flyers fans will be called classy.

I saw that video this morning. I was quite surprised. Not only did they play the anthem, they displayed the words and the entire crowd sang! high class Pittsburgh, high class.
It has been a long week.

I think the American one has been booed up North and the Canadian one has been booed down south. When competitive hockey teams start competing for playoff poisitions, everyone (including players) can act like a bunch of apes.

But when times of trouble and difficulty are faced, the competitiveness is always forgotten and we stand side by side.

The rivalry in hockey is not much different between that among politicians at Centre Block in Ottawa yet politicians were hugging each other... Lots of Canadian connections to US teams but it's a class act to show solidarity... Pittsburgh and Boston.

Respect to Samearn Son, security, who raised the alarm and made a grab for the rifle while unarmed and sustained injuries for his action. Kevin Vickers and the many unnamed security who protected those in Parliament.

RIP to Nathan Cirillo and Patrice Vincent; Thank you for service to your country.
