So we lost power yesterday afternoon while I was at work; returned home to find my Effecta boiler performing nicley on battery back up. Amazingly i spent just about 900 bucks a couple years ago on a chager, two golf cart batteries and an inverter. The goal was to convert/invert 110v 60hz to 12v dc and again to 230v 50hz. Worked great. The calculations by RES of Fairbanks tech i should have about 8 hours of back up. The system actually ran 11 hours + before needing to connect charger to generator. Thuroughly happy with outcome; thanks Eddie

Oh yeah, still no power
Lol

Could you post the details on your charger and inverter system - I am still looking for a good backup system. Although I don't expect to be without power as long as you!

I will when i get home

I know the inverter is a xantrex 2000w
12v in
230v 50hz out
2-deep cycle 12v batteries
The only thing i cant remeber is the 110v 60hz charger for the 12v batteries

Oh yeah power came back on
Made national news:)

Congrats! Very happy for your success.

Charger is a IOTA
DLS-45, Series M
