This statement in the owners manual has me a little confused:

Stove Temperature mode

"This allows for automatic ignition upon start-up only."

Does this mean I can only start the stove in stove temp mode with auto ignition on?
The reason I ask is mine won't start in room temp mode on start-up in auto ignition mode.
Initially i thought something was (is) wrong.

Thanks, B-

When you turn it to room temp in auto mode it should start feeding pellets to get going provided you have the room temperature nob setting higher than what the probe is reading (your actual room temperature). Try cranking the room temp all the way up, it should go. If not, look to see if you have any lights on your control board on.

Take a look at the "How your Harman Works" sticky thread, great information on understanding stove/room temp and auto/manual.

Others may be able to chime in with more help regarding your stove issue.

What that means is that when in stove temp mode auto ignition, it will only auto ignite upon initial start up, after that when the stove reaches temp as determined by the ESP probe in stove temp mode, the stove will go down to a maint. burn mode, it will not shut off and then restart. It will stay lit. In room temp auto, it will start up and shut down and re start as determined by the room temp probe. You can also use room temp auto and as soon as the ignition light comes on flip the switch to room temp manual, this will also do the same as stove temp with the Maint. burn and stay lit. Hope this makes sense.

Got it covered. This is what was happening. I guess I had the temp set too low. Its been a little warm during the day and cool at night so I tried your suggestion last night and it seemed to fire up fine. Thanks for the help all!
