Id like to replace the top plate gasket on my castine this week but don't want to go without the stove for the few days it would take for the cement to set up. Can I just lay the new gasket in without the cement until spring?
What type of cement are you planning on using? Rutland cement only needs an hour of cure time before you start making a fire again according to their data sheet (broken link removed to http://www.rutland.com/back/tds/document_31.pdf)
