Quick Thermostat question

I noticed that both the stoves control board and the remote receiver have thermostat cable with clips. my question is do I just use one or the other set of the cables and clip the ends, or can I hook the clips together between both sets of wires ?

Doesn’t matter now, I clipped the tips and just ran the wire, seems to be working.
