Not sure where to put this but thought I'd just give a shout out to the Rangeley Logging Museum on 16, just north of "downtown" rangeley on Rt 16.
I spent a week up in Maine, doing some hiking around the AT and on a rainy day, visited the aforementioned museum. What a small gem of a musuem, with photo albums and personal stories of the logging history around the region, and for those chainsaw gear freaks out there, they have a ton of old Strunks, MacCullochs, and others lying around the place. They just had a logging festival down there complete with wood carving and such.
If you are in the area and have 1/2 a day free or so...
