Tomorrow is Remembrance Sunday here in the UK.

Everybody wears a poppy as a mark of respect to the fallen heroes of the past wars and conflicts, it was started after World War One. So many people from our armed forces have fought, and died, alongside each other over the years, I thought it would be fitting to put this post in here for tomorrow.

This picture of a poppy field in Herefordshire was in our papers here today.

Awesome pic == growing up the American Legion/Veterans of Foreign Wars used to sell poppies . . . of course they were paper and not nearly as pretty as this.
 
every year for the memorial day parade we all wear poppys on our hats

Great post Woodchip! God bless those men and women in uniform.....past, present, and yet-to-be. Be it across the pond or right here, they have all earned my respect......
