I did my weekly cleaning today along with a flue brushing due to the nice weather. Reassembled everything as usual and started up the stove a few hours later. After a couple of hours I noticed the flame was weird. I checked all my settings and made sure the door, hopper lid and ash pan were all seated properly. On my 10-cpm there are 2 slide out plates that drop ash into the ash pan. I forgot to slide them closed. Just goes to prove that most of the time, if your stove is running a little off it just might be some thing you did or didn't do. Operator error strikes again.
