We have recently upgraded our old fireplace and installed the rsf pearl. It was quite a bit of work, but we are very pleased with the results.

That's quite a change. There will be a lot more heat happening now. It's nice that you were able to keep the arch. Did you put in a new lintel to support the brick?

Yes, a lot more heat for sure. We opted for the variables speed blower which really pushes out the heat. As far as the lintel, I had a contractor look at it and he determined that the arch was supporting the brick and wouldn't be necessary.
