Wherever we're parked
The boss gave us a liberal leave day for the Noreaster cleanup & it came in handy. Slept in for an extra hour & when I got up, The Princess informed me that the pellet stove was out & cold, but sounded like it was running, & the hopper was full. Great.
Went down & took a look turned the feed knob to TEST & looked in the firebox. Auger no turnee...OK...We're goin in! Located the 5/16" nut driver & removed the rear shrouds. Got the 1/4" nut driver & disconnected the venting. With access to the auger motor, I labelled & disconnected the wire powering the motor & made a jumper wire from a 2ft length of 14/2 Romex. Hot wired the motor from my lead light & the auger motor turned, but the auger didn't. Ok...We're going in deeper. Dug out some MORE tools & removed the motor & I found the drive connector between motor & auger shaft had backed out. Pulled the auger anyway to check for burred edges on the flights. Hit em with a file & reassembled everything, making sure the drive screw was properly seated. Re-installed all the shrouds, OAK & venting & after about two hours, she's up & running again...
Now for the 10" of snow in the driveway...

Wow,on a harman?Seems to me people that burn hardwood pellets have more problems?yet, more than likely is owners fault?More info, please.

Not sure what more you want to know. She's been burning for about 10 years,
TROUBLE-FREE, with only routine maintenance, ALL done by me...
As long as your fines box is clean and your burning short debris free pellets, you didn’t cause that. I’ve seen that happen twice before where it wasn’t tightened all the way from the factory and eventually worked itself loose over time.

Sorry,Dansky, just over the years, seems to me that hardwood pellets create more hard "creosote" issues, slime issues, but, you obviously have more experience,I apologize, sir.
