Sealing Pilot Assembly w/ RTV?

Hey There,

I just replaced the pilot assembly on my Heat N Glo Tiarra II. Upon removing the old, non-original assembly, I noticed the hole where the wires feed through the bottom was very poorly sealed with what I assume was high-temp RTV. Should I do the same with my new unit? If so, is any high temp/heat resistant silicone acceptable? Or is there a factory grommet I should be searching for? Picture attached for reference. Use RTV. Auto parts stores usually have it in small squeeze tubes, which should have enough for what you need. No caulk gun required.
