I have been heating my home with a Harman P43 for four seasons now but my basement and laundry area stay very cold. I insulated the basement some but it was still cold. So I went out and purchased and installed a PH50CABPS to help with heating. Well my question is how to lower the heat output some? I had the dial on min heat and it was no different flame or heat output as it was on high. I am liking how well it works but I came home to 84 degrees in my house today with a temp of 24 outside. I think maybe running one stove or the other until the temps drop below 20 is ideal. Just seeing if anyone had any ideas?

Well the Harman you can turn down to next to nothing as I'm sure you are aware. The Cab 50 probably should be mentioned in your header so people know that is the stove you will be speaking of in the text. I'm not familiar with it's controls but many here are, you just need to catch their attention .

Time to hookup the thermostat or buy a programmable one to come on latter in the day closer to the time you need it. We shut down yesterday when the temp outside got to 28 with sun. Very nice way to start the New Year and get ready for a storm and a stretch of very cold weather.

Thanks and I see snow and very cold weather for next week here! Bring it!

Ok I feel dumb but simply hanging thermostat wire on wall off the cold floor did the job and the basement stove PHCab50 is working well, not to hot anymore! Ready for the arctic air!
