Hi everyone,

quick question after doing a cleaning on my stove (Castile insert) I started getting a little smile on startup coming from the pipe fitting just above the clamp. The smoke goes away after burning for a little bit. I’ve never had rtv sealant there, should I? Should I tape it? Or is this normal? Any help is appreciated.

I put RTV on all my joints early on due to negative pressure pulling smoke which was solved with the OAK. But it came in handy because one time when cleaning the pipe, the brush pulled out one of the rubber gaskets. Still never leaked.
