Stihl 361 not oiling

I had bought this saw used and it was in like new condition. I have cut probably a cord or two with it so far and noticed is not oiling the best. I have the oiler turned up all the way. Lastnight I took it all apart to check the pump and gears and they are all fine. I blew a tiny bit of air threw where the air enters the oil tank then oil came gushing out. Put it all back together filled oil tank and fired it up with the tip of bar by a piece of paper and it still is getting very little oil. went and cut this morning and I ran about 3/4 of a tank of gas to maybe 1/4 tank of oil. Is this how much it normally oils or is there somewhere else I can check for blockage? I did pull the oil pickup out of tank and it is clean. Has a 20 inch bar, stihl e bar, stihl chisel chain. 3/8 .050. Oh and also checked the holes in bar for blockage and was all clear.

Unlike the 290, the 361 is notoriously stingy with oil. I've never seen more than a half tank of oil used per tank of fuel with my 361.

Ok thanks. I thought somewhere on here I read that a oil pump from a bigger saw will fit on the 361 or can you buy higher flow pumps? Is this something that is worth while doing? I'm used to the oil and gas being empty about the same time on other saws.

I use a 20" bar with the oiler fully opened and never found the need to perform the upgrade.

Of late I have noticed that the oil ports on bars do not always line up with the oil port on the saws that well. Sometimes increasing the oil port diam on the bar will re-mediate the condition other times just providing a tapered lead in to the oil port on the bar will work. ( dremel or similar hand grinder -pointed stone to create tapered lead in.)
