For garden, hearth, fireplace, or masonry heater. I am fascinated by rocks, especially river rocks. I spent much of my youth in Oregon standing/slipping around in rivers with fishing pole in hand. The rocks in the rivers varied so much. Where I live now, Idaho, is great for rock collectors.
I drove to Salmon, Idaho, and picked up a few stones for a masonry heater. Lots of colors - green, blue, purple, redish, stripes, orange, speckled, whitish and grey of course. It'll be interesting to see the looks of the fireplace that comes out of this stone collection. Let's see your hearth or fireplace rocks so I can get some building ideas.
