I just got my system running with storage. It seems to be working well. Having the storage tanks makes a big differnce. It evens the heat out over the course of the day and it burns less wood. The blown-in cellulose insulation was easy to do and even in hindsight seems like the best solution. Though it does make a big mess!

Here are some pictures.

26 bags. The box is 10'x8'x5.5' with 1000 gallons of storage. I have insulation about 1' all around and 2' on the top in an attached garage that never goes below 50F.

Hi Rikard Why does the attached garage never go below 50 F ? alternate source of heat or ??

Nice job by the way

Thanks Paso. The garage is insulated and it is surrounded by the house on 3 1/2 sides. Only the door side and 1/2 wall are exposed. The ground temp is above 50F. The garage becomes a buffer between the outside and 70F inside.
