Englander 30 here. States in the manual that a damper above the stove is not necessary since the air control is on the stove. Question is this...any advantage or dis-advantages to having a damper in the stovepipe adapter coupling? I used duratech dvl and it came with the damper in the stovepipe adapter.

Hmmm . . . second damper question is such a short time. Same answer as the last post I just replied to . . . most EPA stoves do not need a stovepipe damper unless you have issues with excessive draft. Try it without a damper and see how it runs . . . if you feel as though it has too much of a draft you can easily add a damper to the stove pipe later.
