I'm to the point in my project to start running stove pipe up and through a metal roof. My stove flue exits out the back of the stove and I am using a Selkirk double wall Tee fitting at that point. Should I use some type of collar to fasten to the stove? The double wall pipe will be extending up approx 7' where it will change over to a supervent stove pipe before going through the roof. Do I need locking bands at the double wall pipe joints or are the attaching screws enough? I assume there is some type of transition collar for the double wall and supervent pipe? I saw on previous threads it is recommended to use the metal flashing vs silicone. I was thinking a roof support collar as well with framing under it. I cant wrap my head around how to use the metal flashing especially with the roof support. Is there a specific metal flashing? How is the corrugated roof sealed off?
Thanks, Jeff

Terminology here is important. The pipe between the stove and the ceiling support is stove pipe or connector. From that point up it is class A chimney pipe, not stove pipe. Stove pipe can not be used outside of the room envelope. The support box handles the transition between the two, distinct types of flue piping.

Here is a guide for Excel's metal roof flashing

Thanks for correcting my terminology, I understand how important that can be when properly answering a question. What's your thoughts on needing a locking band where the stove pipe T connects to the back of the stove and also where the stove pipe connections are made? I'm using Duravent material because I can get it at my local Menards. A Duravent tech told me I would need to use a "roof support", but after some research on that, I'm thinking I may be better served using a "cathedral ceiling support". The cathedral ceiling support could support my entire run and would also make a good transition from stove pipe to class A chimney pipe. Thanks for the Excel roof flashing link. Do you have a favorite place to purchase those from? The picture shows what I'm working with at the ceiling and roof level.

Stove pipe does not use locking bands, nor does their DuraTech chimney pipe. The stove pipe sections are screwed together at 3 points, 120º apart.
Yes, a cathedral ceiling support will work here. It will need to be framed in across the ceiling beams.

Thanks begreen, it starting to sink in now. The Cathedral Ceiling Support Box can be trimmed to match my roof angle. Keeping it plumb and level, then screwed to the new in between rafter framing. I believe I understand the Excel flashing installation and even watched a video of it. What is used to seal the metal roof ridges above the flashing? What is the preferred sealant for the flashing? Do you have a suggestion as where to buy the Excel flashing?

I have had good results with GE Silicone II, but there probably are other suitable, silicone adhesive caulks.
