A buddy of mine has a timberwolf 3500 and is having some issues. The other night the boiler got to hot and burned the insulation. According to him, the thermostat on the boiler it self is not sensing the temperature of the fluid in the lines. Does anyone know if there is a probe somewhere that could have burned out or what to check to get the problem fixed.

They are made in Muskegan. I'm sure they could answer his questions, but sounds like aquastat could be bad.
