I recently purchased and installed a Timberwolf TPS35 pellet stove, never had a pellet stove previously. The unit came with a bad low limit switch and faulty board, which I'm currently waiting on replacement parts. In the meantime...the stove works, but the auger constantly spins, like the prime button in always held down. My question is, can I leave the stove on for extended periods of time without worrying about the heat tubes warping? If I set it to High, the flames don't always touch the heat tubes but sometimes they wrap around them or just touch the bottoms. I'm just worried about severely damaging the stove. Will the high limit shut the stove down before any damage to the heat tubes? Any answers will be appreciated.

Shut it down and wait for the parts. What if there were a failure of the upper limit switch?
