Just caught a segment on Toronto's iDAPT center that works with Toronto Rehab to bring forward technology that will promote health and rehab - Amanda Lange and crew at CBC filmed the segment for The National.

Finding solutions for problems is the name of the game... fall prevention (wider stair treads 10" now in building code) and monitoring (fall detection system for home) , sleep apnea home diagnosis (ApneaDx, portable detection device for quicker assessment than 2 year wait list for sleep clinics). Low cost on these types of devices is what they are shooting for to increase accessibility.
