Last year I replaced the glass on my TN20. We've had this stove since 2019 and I noticed a chunk of glass missing in the corner and was worried it would cause a break - unsure how long it had been this way. So I replaced the window and it came with a new gasket and metal holding tabs. I used all of this and did the gasket following directions. I've done gaskets like this on other stoves without issue. The problem is, ever since last year, ever couple weeks my window will slide about 1/4" down. I'm worried it will go low enough to cause a leak if I miss this. So I loosen the screws on the tabs, move the glass up and retighten. The screws are always nice and tight when I get back to them.

I have tried two different fixes. 1 - I bent the metal tabs (several times, small amounts each time) and then reinstalled so they provide more pressure on the glass. This helped as it was every few days, now it's every few weeks the glass falls. 2- I tried putting a little line of silicone under the window on the lower tabs. I was thinking silicone would stay soft and would support the window if things get loose while hot. This did not work, the silicone "crisped" up after baking, and it broke the glass. So I replaced the window, again. Expensive mistake, won't do that again.

Any ideas how to get this window to stay put? I'm thinking maybe bending the tabs more, but they are already really tight. We never had this issue with the original glass during the 5 seasons prior to the change.

It could be the replacement ceramic glass thickness is not the same as the factory glass. There are a few different suppliers of ceramic glass. They have differing thicknesses. Neoceram and Robax are 5mm and Pyroceram is 3mm.
