I'm looking at a used ComfortBilt HP50S pellet stove. Looks in very good condition, seller says it starts, lights, then stops feeding. Price is $150.00. Any advise appreciated. Is this a good deal? What's the worst the issue could be?
Thanks, Tim

For sure it's a good deal if still has more life in it. You would want to check out all the metal to make sure it's not at
the end of it's life. Usually any part(s) can be replaced to fix it. It could just need to be cleaned.

What year is it for a non-working stove 1500$ is too much
where I live . I buy working stove that needs painting and cleaning for less than 700$
And resell for 1500$

The worst situation would probably be a combination issues all involving parts. Be prepared to do the troubleshooting and repair yourself unless you have someone.

Not familiar with it, does it use a thermocouple for Proof of fire, or a switch in exhaust path? That sounds to be like the issue. If its starts up, feeds initial feed and lights, prob not the control board. Sounds like it is waiting for next gate to be met, POF. If physically in good shape, that is a nice find. Good luck.

Was just reading about this stove- interesting. According to manual, this unit has a spare POF switch (2 switches) in exhaust housing? That is something I've never seen... maybe that's the problem. Could be an easy fix, but I suspect a good cleaning (Like Ssyko suggested) would fix that stove. Stay warm.
