Used St. Croix Lancaster, What to look for?

I am going to go look at a used Lancaster. They say it has only been used one season. Is their anything that you need to pay particular attention to when looking at used corn stoves? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I burned a Lancaster for 3 years, and just sold it this year. I would make sure it's clean inside, undo the screws on the sides and open it up..check and see if there's a big buildup of dust, take the back of the stove off and check the main blower...you can check the sides of the blower for dust buildup (these things will tell you if the owndr did any maintenance on it). In my experience, if all they burned was corn I don't think you need to worry a lot. I burned corn exclusively for 2 years and did regular maintenance, I had no problems with it. If you mix pellets or burn pellets exclusively, make sure you use a high quality pellet. Low quality pellets cause the burn pot to fill up more quickly with ash. These stoves are higher maintenance than most pellet stoves as you will have to drop a clinker (or ashes) from the burn pot every day.
