So I have a ussc 6039. Manual ignition. Fully cleaned. When I plug it in, the room fan and exaust fan come on right away. Not hooked up to any exaust. I put pellets in the hopper and light it. When i hit the on button, the room air blower drops out and the exaust fan stays running. After about 10 min the room fan comes on and the auger runs for about 2 seconds every 20 seconds. The burn pot agitator does not run unless in test mode. I think it thinks it's in thermostat mode but the jumper is in position. Regardless if it's on heat range 1 or 9 it still feeds 2 sec per 20. Settings for the heat ranges are confirmed to be factory default. Also, when I hit the off button it will stay running with the auger off. I'm wondering if it is looking for input from the thermister that the 6039 never came with but has a plug on the board for. Any ideas?

The 6039 never has used a thermister, USSC uses the same board for many stoves they just program them different so the thermister plug is there for a stove like the 5002m or others not the 6039. Normally the 6039 does nothing when first plugged in some stoves have a startup procedure but not the 6039

I would first try to jump(conect the two wires running to high limit switch tape them so they do not touch stove) the auger bumping 2 seconds every 20 seconds sounds like maybe stove is stuck in the shut down mode, maybe the high limit switch went bad and is stuck open telling the stove it is overheating. I would also try unplugging the low limit switch do not jump switch just unplug tape wire ends, maybe the low limit is stuck closed telling stove there is a fire as soon as stove is plugged in.

If only one blower or only the auger was running I would say one of the triacs went bad they are a switch on your board like a on off switch but each motor has a separate triac and the odds of more then one going bad at a time is slim.

You can by pass the jumper if you want to try, on the board where the jumper is you can run a wire from the two spades on each side of the jumper to each other, but the thermostat should not effect the blower motor and exhaust blower running when first plugged in.

Im not one to jump the the worst case scenario but with everything you have mentioned if it is not the high limit or low limit switch then my next guess would be bad board, if you look to buy a new board make sure you get the correct one for the 6039 part number 80507 they run in the $250 range.

On a normally running 6039 when you push the off button stove will go into shutdown mode room blower exhaust blower will continue to run, auger will bump every once in a while to prevent fire from going up auger tube. When low limit switch opens(off) blower will shut off and auger will bump one more time then stove shuts off. This shut down mode can take 30 to 45 minutes depending on how hot the stove is. The low limit switch is a 110 degree normally open switch it must cool off to around 100 degrees before it actually turns off. Check to make sure the switches are wired right low limit should have white and green wires and the high limit should have purple and red, black wires. Low limit switch should be high on the left side and the high limit switch should be low on left side near stirrer motor.

Should have mentioned the low limit should be a 110 degree and the high limit should be a 250 degree.
