USSC King Pellets sliding into auger

I will look around but I think I saw other people with this issue. new king stove from USSC and we were out and the hopper was running low on pellets.... it actually ran out of pellets to feed but there were still pellets in stove. basically they are not sliding down to the bottom very well/ all the way? anything to put on surface to make it slicker so pellets with slide down appropriately I thought I heard one person put in another false bottom but at a much steeper angle. I'm hoping to find something to slick up the surface so they slide or will this better with age and use or what?? thank you....granted I don't want to run that low but if we are out and it happens want to be prepared.....

Sometimes a different brand of pellets makes a difference too. Trebio used to bridge in my stove and I would come home to a half full hopper and the stove not burning. Smaller, uniform pellets feed the best. Stove still goes out with some residual pellets left in the hopper ... just make sure you feed the beast before you leave

PS If you put in a false hopper bottom, you lose hopper capacity. Is it worth the effort? How much was actually left in the hopper? A cup or two? You're really not gaining anything for the work and material cost...

I second what Lake Girl said! It's your pellets. I had that problem too, with either Easy Heat or Indecks pellets. Can't remember which (CRS). You could try some silicone spray, furniture polish, car wax or the kids favorite slide lubricant, wax paper. Just make sure the stove is off before spraying anything.

LOPI AGP has snap disc to behead oversized Pellets. If it's burning fine and stops w Pellets still in Bin Auger probably choking on stuck Pellet? Lopi has Air Tube from Blower into Stove that needs to be cleaned out w Pipe cleaner that has caused this problem you have before. Mileage may vary as I have no experience w your Stove..

lake girl..I got up in am to fill and I noticed about 1/2 a back that didnt slide down...it as significant amount vs just a cup or two.........

and I already ahve 2 ton of this brand so not up for changing brands this time around. but good thoughts. all

Mixed my Trebio with Lacretes until they were out of my hair! I didn't have 2 tons of Trebio though...

Spry it with that dry graphite stuff.

Stove off, clean the hopper fully.

Spray the dry lube (dry moly?) stuff on.

Refill.

Did you ever find the reason your Pellets weren't going through Auger?

1/8 inch thick washer under that corner of the stove may help.

no I just check often and move around. I may try the graphite paint that I used on my mower deck so grass does not stick to it.

I just push pellets around often.......at this point now that I atleast know about the issue...its easier and dont run into that problem.

LOL, When I heated only with the austroflamm in the basement,graphite or moly in the hopper worked really well,moly lasted a whole season,silicone and car wax lasted the least.With my accentra being upstairs,I have sprayed it before,but being right there,never let it get that low.Moly the best,but is expensive.

what MOLY have you used? when I think moly I think LUBE grease but I can imagine thats good for the pellets in there...maybe waxing it and reapplying oftem. Hmmmmmmm

I think they mean something like this...DuPont Teflon Non-Stick Dry-Film Lubricant.
It gets better reviews than Dry Moly (green can). But maybe I'm wrong about what they mean. I am looking for something too since I kind of have the same issue.
