I’m wondering if any of you guys have had water issues with this type of pellet vent/cover. Today, I noticed that the pipe could use a cleaning, as the screen was getting partially clogged with soot. When I put the/cover back on and screwed The hose clamp Back into place, I couldn’t help but wonder how water tight that area is. It’s always seemed very iffy to me. Does anyone ever put silicone in this seam? [Hearth.com] Vent cover[Hearth.com] Vent cover

No issues, never gets wet even, it's under an overhang eave by a couple feet.
