I have an enviro empress with a flex vent kit. how important is venting for pellet stoves
 
not as big of a big deal as a wood stove but make sure you follow the manf. guidelines and you should be fine.
 
I lot of it depends on how small and / or tight your house is. The smaller/tighter it is, the more important venting becomes. Personally, I'd rather use cold, more densely oxygenated air to fuel the fire, rather than my nice warm air...

If the stove manufacture recommends venting, I'd suggest you vent it.
