I've read the manual & researched the other same woodstoves under different names. I can't find anywhere what the max temperature this woodstove can safely, routinely see. The manufacturer said just use whatever any magnetic thermometer says. Not sure I want to take some Amazon thermometers word for it.

We had a quadra fire before this one. I'm still learning the ropes of this new one. It seems the quadra fire was easier to use.
 
Looks like it may be the sibling of the Osburn 3500. Keep the stove top temperature under 750º and it should be ok. Most of the time it may be around 500º depending on the wood burned, draft, and operator. Condar makes a decent stove top thermometer. So does ReoTemp. A lot of us run our stoves more by flue temperature.
