Ventless gas fireplace

I would like to install a ventless gas fireplace in my basement. If I don't want to do framing are there ready made surrounds I can buy and how should I go about it? The Duluth forge on home depot comes with a cabinet but reviews are average. I am wondering if I could get a good ventless unit plus an easy to install cabinet separately without having to frame. Also can cabinet go directly over carpet?

From the installation manual: "
Note: When heater is installed directly on
carpeting, vinyl or other combustible material,
other than wood flooring, the heater must be
installed on a metal or wood panel extending
the full width and depth of the heater."
