Hello
Has anyone tried this Black Weld-On Pipe Repair Tape from Home Depot on a kitchen sink drain leak?
In this case it leaks mostly when the dish washer finishes up and dumps the water in. The leak is just above the P-Trap.
The tape goes on really quick and easy and you just wrap it and pull to stretch it a bit and it stays on even though the backing is not sticky. So it does not have to dry before using the sink again.

I used that stuff on my well when I couldn’t get parts on a Saturday night, it worked good enough that I forgot about it for a few weeks, and then replaced the line.

I've always used ABS fittings, and the dishwasher one looks different. It has more of a angle and is smaller. Eventually you might want to redo it:

Fix it properly it will save a major headache in the future. I can tell just by the picture you do not have enough pipe coming down from the sink to join into the cast T properly. My drain hooks into the crossover pipe from sink to sink and that way it leaves enough of the sink drain to slide into the compression fitting properly. Get rid of as much of that cast as you can, replace the sink drains and it should be leak free. the parts are not expensive and you will probably spend 1/2 that much on that bandaid fix that will not last

Oh yes I just got all the PVC and schedule 40 parts to replace the cast iron and metal to fix it properly, just have to get time for it. However in the mean time the bucket is dry. No leak
