Nice day today decided to do a stove cleaning
Shut the stove down no problem
Clean and vac inside of fire box and cabinet
remove combustion fan clean , clean exhaust path test motor OK reinstall blower with new gasket
remove clean out T cap clean pipes
remove convection blower clean 2 drops #20 oil Test motor OK reinstall
fire up stove no convection blower check wiring OK
Remove blow stuck solid will not move
Disassemble motor brushes done spring on armature
Time for new one
Call dealer he has after market unit go and pick it up
Dealer gives me 30 % discount ( contractor I repair most of the Enviro stoves around here )
Install new blower All good
Question after 15 tears why would this blower wear out (no answer required )
I think 15 years is a good run for this unit other than a combustion
motor 2 years ago I have replaced nothing
. Just goes to show that a good maintenance program extends the life of a good stove

Does the enviro have blowers that require lube?

Sounds like a good run!

The convection blower calls for sae#20 2drops ever 6 months
At least the old unit did and so does the new after market unit
The new fan is North American made and cost 70$ less than
an factory unit .

15 years? Sheesh! I would have expected only 15 years from my auger motors and thirty years from my convection blower motor! J/K

The only motor I have not removed yet is the convection motor so the next tear down will include it for some maintenance/lubrication.
