We been having probs this year with our stove shutting off when it gets too hot inside. Our Whitfield Advantage II shuts off on 3 if the back panel cover is on. If we take it off it wont shut off, but turn it to 4 then the stove will shut off then turn itself back on after about 30mins while resuming dumping pellets and all blowers working. So far we've replaced the high limit switch thats in the middle and the switch thats on the combustion motor. We've also replaced the pressure switch and the control panel.

This only happens when it gets too hot. The stove can run for days on 3 as long as that back panel is off, but soon as you put that back panel on or turn it to 4 it will shut off until it cools then resume. Any ideas?

Clean the crud out of the convection blower and its motor, verify it is running at its proper speed, and do any required lubrication if the motor requires it. Oil information should be on the motor makers plate.

It is also possible for a plugged exhaust air path to cause this, clean your venting, the combustion blower, the cavity it is in, and from there to the heat exchanger etc ...

I have seen on a few other models of whitfiled that when the combustion blower gets really hot the bearings will seize. The motor will then cool off and run like normal for a while. You might have a similar situation.
