Whitfield Profile20 pellet stove did not start after a power failure. The failure itself was an oddity due to multiple switching events between power feeds before ultimate power failure. (power on / off multiple times). When power came back on the control board li up , either just the blower or heat part of the indicator lights came on dimly and flashing somewhat. After testing and finding the power supply was functioning correctly I played around with the controls by pushing different buttons in different combinations the control box came back to life. After reinstalling the box in the stove and reconnecting the power cord the box reverted back to it's behaviour after the power outage. I don't recall which random button i pushed on the control board. Anyone have experience with some reset code for these control boxes?

To reset a Whitfield Profile 20 pellet stove, first unplug the unit. After waiting a few seconds, plug it back in and within 5 seconds, press and hold the "On/Off" button until the system resets. If the stove is still not working, check the fuse, which is typically a 5 amp, 250-volt fuse located in a black box on the control board.

Resetting the stove
  1. Unplug the stove: Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
  2. Wait: Allow a few seconds for the unit to fully power down.
  3. Press and hold the "On/Off" button: Press and hold the "On/Off" button on the control panel for several seconds after plugging the unit back in.

thanks you will give that a try
Thank AI - or google search - let use know how you make out - if that does not work unplug it overnight with the controls still on.

Was the stove plugged in to a good surge suppressor?
